Defense Against The Dark Arts- The Monthly Meetup.

Practitioners of the Dark Arts have become ascendant.

I mean that literally because "Dark Arts" refers to the promotion of organizational and societal attitudes that put people under more stress and diminishes their well-being.

Based on the findings of social psychology we can defend against those Dark Arts.

Gallup has data showing the 70% of the US workforce is disengaged.

This epidemic of disengagement plagues our society and is especially alarming because it starts in school.

Don Berg, the founder of Schools of Conscience, has put together a plan to fight the epidemic of disengagement that is at the heart of the problems that plague both schools and society.

We welcome everyone who shares our concern for the well-being of students and teachers regardless of your affiliations (public, private, charter, homeschool, alternatives, out of school programs, preschool, primary, secondary, tertiary, etc.).

We also welcome everyone of all political persuasions.

If you are skeptical consider this quote from a post on my web site:

Given her public record as a private citizen with a lot of money to throw around, Betsy DeVos is effectively the devil in disguise, but not for the reasons that liberal ideologues suppose.

Liberal ideologues are also devils in disguise as long as they continue to champion policies that undermine the primary human needs of students, teachers, and all the other humans in schools.

Featured E-course

Your Mind Is More Than You Think

This course is an introduction to the three most central lessons from the science of psychology.

  • You have more than one mind.
  • We are situational beings, each of us can be changed by the situations we encounter without knowing we've been changed.
  • Creating the good requires more than getting rid of the bad.

Over 10 weeks you will be provided with links to some of the most entertaining talks and papers by leading psychologists journalists, and other authorities as they reveal how these important lessons about the human mind were learned and what they mean.

(The system generated messages says 11 weeks because there is a bonus week of extra videos that are cool but did not make it into the main lessons for the course.) Click here to sign up..

Betsy DeVos and the Irony of Her "Innovation" Agenda- Secretary of Education nominee Betsy DeVos claims she wants innovation, but she doesn't know how to get it.

The devils of education politics are all those who continue to construct policy based on the false delivery theory.
