Learning Piano Is FUN!

Wouldn't the ideal system for learning piano integrate a fun, interactive gaming engine into piano practice?

Captivating computer game programs which truly train the gamer in a real-world skill are not easy to find -- especially in the area of music instruction.

Computer software games are a huge and burgeoning industry because kids are almost hopelessly enthralled by them.

Software applications which provide parents a non-violent alternative to regular video games, which are at the same time fun, compelling, and challenging, could also teach musical literacy very effectively.

Such a fusion would have the unique ability to alter the traditionally boring and repetitive piano practice into an exciting, very rewarding video game experience – finally taking the distastefulness out of each piano practice -- forever.

Using gaming software to make learning piano fun would solve several challenges.

Parents wouldn't feel the need to nag their kids to practice (they are more likely to have the opposite challenge – they may have to nag their kids to STOP practicing).

Piano instructors need not fear whether their students will make any progress before their next lesson.

On the students' side, the number of people learning piano would be substantially enlarged by the easy attainability of a game format.

And, perhaps most importantly, piano students will connect fun and accomplishment with the piano instead of anguish and struggle.

Allegro Rainbow, makers of Piano Wizard, appears to have discovered that magical fusion.

They are enthusiastically dedicated to bring FUN piano practice software to the marketplace -- thanks to a solid product idea and design environment.

Chris Salter, the genius behind Allegro Rainbow, states, "Piano Wizard represents a significant shift in the way we introduce music to kids as well as adults, with many people thinking that it simply can't be done, or conversely, that they have seen this before. Because of these perceptions, we knew we [had to] let people see for themselves that the gateways to music are now wide open for everyone."

You should know that Piano Wizard isn't the only piano practice software out there.

There are around 10 or more titles to choose from including Teach Me Piano, Piano Suite Premier, and Instant Play Piano.

None of these are really computer games, but are instructional software focussed on imparting skills – not so much of the keep-them-glued magic of Piano Wizard.

Teach Me Piano includes some games "on the side", but they are not a central focus of their program.

So, in actuality Allegro Rainbow has broken new ground by melding piano instruction with gaming software.
