Since the throat diameter is wider on the konica mount than the nikon mount the lens cant be allowed to protrude into the body of a nikon camera even if the mirror clearance were not an issue. On your photo of the nikon d3400 at the 9 o clock position there is another lever. Youre looking at the wrong end.

If you don;t want to buy a good used nikon f4 to use them. give them to someone like goodwill and they will find them a good home Often with dedicated 2x vivitar teleconverter (pic 1).
