There are only two weeks left until fall, but this weekend the residents of Volansby will be jumping into Christmas.
The 19th year Follansbee Christmas in the Park will provide an early taste of the holiday season this weekend, with festivities taking place in Follansbee Park on Saturdays and Sundays.
There will be a variety of vendors on hand, with the garden decorated for Christmas, holiday music playing all weekend and a show by Steubenville’s Nutcracker Village.
There may be some holiday surprises in store.
To stay with the idea of the season of giving, the organizers of Christmas in the Park offer several prize drawings as part of the event, with donations subsequently collected for local nonprofits or young people in need.
Christmas in the Garden is among our list of traditional fall celebrations. It’s something that many in our area look forward to, and one that shouldn’t be missed.
