Madison, Wisconsin (WMTV) — As the wintry weather continues, people aren’t letting it stop them from enjoying their vacation in Wisconsin Dells.
One family even drove a 12-hour drive from North Dakota and made their way through the falling snow.
“With the weather in North Dakota and Minnesota and (Wisconsin), we left around 5 o’clock yesterday evening and got here at 5 o’clock in the morning,” said Kayla Evenstad, a guest on Mount Olympus.
And for many visitors to Mount Olympus, it has become the place to stay this season.
“We just showed up and they were kind enough to let us check in early at night,” said Evenstad. “They were open, so it worked out perfectly.”
And when the weather outside is frightful, water and slides are fun.
“The best thing about the Wisconsin Dells is that we come here when it’s cold and we can enjoy ourselves,” said Mount Olympus guest Matt Scoville.
Just another winter in Al Ghurair State.
“It’s Wisconsin,” Scoville said. “This is what we made of cheese, beer, sausage and winter.”
