Teaching Beyond Language

In this TED Talk Evelyn Glennie tells the story of how her teacher transcended his own limitations to accept her as a student. In case you have not heard of Evelyn Glennie she is a deaf musician. She did not learn music and then become deaf, she has been deaf since childhood. She is a world renowned percussionist. The teaching she is doing, as well as the teaching she talks about, exemplify the importance of relating to reality, not just our illusions about it and descriptions of it.
